Danos Crew Steps up to Help

Danos Deepwater Crane Operator John Corkern, Deck Coordinator Brandon Grace and Deepwater Rigger Nilles Mizell recently went above and beyond to assist BP’s Paige Holland, offshore installation manager (OIM) of the Mad Dog platform, after an F3 tornado devastated parts of his property in Southwest Mississippi.

"The tornado damaged my cattle barn, the roof off the backside of my hay barn, numerous trees and almost every fence that covered the 35 acres where I live," said Paige.

Demonstrating true teamwork and compassion, the Danos crew stepped in to help with the recovery efforts.

"When they heard the news, they did not hesitate to reach out to provide help and support. Brandon and John were both there within the next day with dozer and trackhoe support, moving trees and clearing my barn, as well as providing support in patching and rebuilding fence on the property. They have continued to provide that same support by helping build my new barn. Their support through this difficult time goes to show that working relationships offshore do extend past offshore life."

A special shoutout to Brandon who went the extra mile by bringing his own equipment to support the cleanup and restoration.

Thank you, John, Brandon and Nilles, for your selflessness and service!
