As I reflect on 2024, I am grateful for all of you that supported those in need through the Danos Foundation. This year has been more than a mission—it has been a calling to honor God and serve others through generosity, compassion, service and commitment. The Foundation has been a vessel of God’s love, strengthening families and communities, and providing hope where it was needed most.
Our WORKS program continued to represent our commitment to volunteerism, with employees giving their time and energy to projects that uplift our communities. From disaster relief efforts and food distributions to advocating for the unborn and children in foster care, the willingness of fellow employees to serve has been a testament to our faith in action.
Through GIVES, our grant-giving arm of the Foundation, we continued our mission of serving others by building long-term partnerships with well-managed organizations and supporting impactful initiatives in our communities. GIVES provides vital resources to help nonprofits further their missions. Yet, these grants are only a small part of the story. The real work is being done by the dedicated organizations and their teams who are on the front lines making a difference every day. The Foundation is honored to support their efforts, recognizing that while we can provide funding, they are the true heroes driving meaningful change in our communities.
In addition to the Danos Foundation, funded by contributions from employees and the Danos companies, we have been able to further expand our generosity through our CARES and ROOTS programs. With CARES, we extended a helping hand to employees facing unexpected hardships. The generosity of our Danos community made it possible to provide financial assistance and support to those navigating difficult times. Because of your kindness, our coworkers in crisis felt the tangible presence of love and care.
Our ROOTS program, funded by the company, connected employees and their families with opportunities to serve and grow together in addition to scholarships offered for individuals and families to attend Christian retreats and camps. The family volunteer event at headquarters saw an incredible turnout, filling 360 bags of food for children in need. The spirit of fellowship and shared purpose was felt by all, proving once again that when we come together with open hands and hearts, God multiplies our efforts.
As we step into 2025, we remain committed to serving our workplace and communities through generosity, compassion, service and commitment. May we continue to serve with humility, love with generosity, and uplift those around us with the same grace we have received. Thank you to all who have supported the Danos Foundation for making this year a reflection of faith in action. Here’s to another year of service and impact!
