In December 2022, the Danos Foundation challenged its own committee members to each organize one service opportunity where they and fellow employees would team up with local nonprofits.
In February, Mike Guidry and team supported the Souperbowl for United Way. In March, Paige Boudreaux teamed up with Upside Downs for their 3.21 Dash, Melanie Toups and the sales and business development team volunteered at the Houston Furniture Bank, and Paul Quintero organized an event with the Bynum School's Special Olympics. April was jam packed with service opportunities as Kerry Thibodaux and the IT team assisted CASA of Lafourche with their Crawfish Cookoff, Tish Hebert and coworkers helped with Relay for Life, Samantha Magee and her crew stuffed envelopes for St. Francis Vegetable Garden, and Brady Hebert helped to organize Lafayette's blood drives. Most recently, Brittney Fremin organized another envelope stuffing event with Life of a Single Mom, Pete Thompson assisted with Texas blood drives, Travis Hebert supported local Little League Baseball, and Issac Dantin and his safety team partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank in Golden Meadow to distribute food boxes.
So here is the challenge: We want YOU to join us at one of our upcoming service events! OR,
go ahead and organize an event of your own, and let us know about it at foundation@danos.com. We'll rally up a team to support you and the nonprofit you're passionate about! Communications will be sent out as upcoming service events are added, and ongoing opportunities can always be found here.
Remember! Any service hour logged in Thelma through Danos WORKS will benefit that nonprofit at $10 per service hour!
