'Tis the Season!

Autumn… the time of year when the temperatures gradually decrease, kids return to school, and the leaves change color and fall ever so beautifully from the trees. Here in the south, however, the temperatures dip into the low 90s, the smell of roux is all around and our conversations turn to football, pumpkin spice and tips on cleaning love bugs off bumpers. It’s a magical season indeed.

If you’ve been to Hobby Lobby lately, you’ve already noticed the holiday season is around the corner. As the holiday season approaches, the roadways fill with shoppers searching for the best deal. Over the past years, online shopping has become ever so popular. The Danos Foundation Online Auction is one of our most successful fundraising events each year. The auction begins on November 15 and ends November 30. Since this auction is 100% online, you can bid on auction items from wherever you are. The added bonus is knowing that all proceeds go directly to the Danos Foundation.

Last year’s auction raised over $12,000 with a whopping 60 auction items. Previous auctions have included unique items such as: charcuterie boards, CPR training, saltwater charter fishing trip, homemade whoopie pies, iPad, paintings, children’s museum membership, hand thrown pottery, etc.
